February 13, 2026 – Dr. Julie Kaplow, the executive director of the Meadows Institute’s Trauma and Grief Center, was invited by the CBC News Network, a Canadian broadcaster, to discuss the needs of the community of Tumbler Ridge in the aftermath of last week’s mass shooting.
Kaplow discussed the importance of trauma and grief support for people who were at the school or lost a loved one and how parents can best support their children during this time.
