The Emerging Leaders course is an 8 hour professional development program designed to prepare law enforcement personnel for the practical and interpersonal challenges of leadership. The course integrates ethical decision-making, conflict resolution, and emotional intelligence to help participants navigate complex situations with professionalism, accountability, and sound judgment.
Participants will examine how personal values, organizational culture, stress, and emotional awareness influence decision-making and leadership effectiveness. Through facilitated discussion, scenario-based learning, and applied exercises, students will build skills to manage conflict, communicate effectively, and make principled decisions in dynamic operational environments.
This course is eligible for TCOLE credit, emphasizing an understanding of leadership roles or assuming increased responsibility within an organization
